Yes, we are always happy to accommodate specific sizes other than what appears on our website. Joaoshoots with one of the highest resolution cameras available so that we can create sizes up to 110” for most series.* However, once we print above 48 x 72,” plexiglass face-mounted framing is the only type of framing that will support a print this big. Above 48 x 96” we would need to break the print up into a diptych, triptych, or quad which could be framed in plexiglass or wood frames.
We don’t crop or otherwise alter images to maintain the consistency and integrity of the edition.

MAT BORDER
Artwork is framed by an acid free 3-inch, 8-ply white mat border. (Due to the manufacturer limitations, prints larger than 54” will have a 3” paper border instead of a mat)
LIFTED
Artwork is permanently adhered to a 3/16” lift so it appears to float above the mat, and is set with a ¼ “ gap between the frame and the print.
Face-mounted Plexi Frames
• Artwork is permanently face-mounted to plexiglass using clear adhesive and reenforced with Dibond backing to provide durability and rigidity.
• An aluminum brace will be mounted to the back of each plexi frame, along with a french hanging cleat. The cleat will require additional hardware based on the make of your wall.
Our standard plexiglass is lightweight and more durable than glass.
Yes, our museum plexiglass is the best option for a high-quality look, which reduces 20-30% of reflections, is abrasion resistant, and offers up to 99% UV protection.
We recommend considering this option if you are placing your work in the vicinity of large light sources, facing sunlit windows, or if you are sensitive to glares in your artwork. Please also note that due to the nature of the protective UV coating you may notice a slight green cast to any remaining reflections. No need to worry; this is completely normal and will not affect your artwork.
If you have any questions about choosing your plexiglass type, please call or e-mail us and we will be happy to help.
Yes, the plexiglass that comes standard on our frames is 75% UV protective, and our museum plexiglass offers 99% UV protection.
We advise your framer to dry-mount the work on acid-free board using archival tissue and materials. This will ensure that your print will remain flat once framed. Note that it is common for prints to have waves when unrolling for the first time.
Your print is made of archival materials that will last a lifetime but it is still very fragile and should be taken directly to a framer. Do NOT handle your unframed print yourself. Also, prints are not meant to be stored in a tube for extended periods of time.
E-mail us for hanging instructions specific to your frame type.
