BlackRapid – SNAP-R

This is a long over due post about one of the coolest companies I have ever had the pleasure of associating myself and my work with. Blackrapid is their name and protecting my back and shoulders is their game. I use a number of their products in my day-to-day shooting.
One of my favorite tools is the SnapR:

I always travel no matter where I go with my Samsung Nx100, for those of you who don’t read the Daily Dose on a regular basis, it’s my compact 4/3 behind the scenes and travel camera. I take it everywhere, it has traveled with me to over 10 countries and about fifty cites. So you can see the importance of having that perfect carrying system, I am also a guy (no offense ladies) but this means I don’t want to have to carry a backpack or man-bag with all of my crap in it so I try and keep my things to a minimum at all times. So that basically includes my wallet, passport, camera and cell phone. I also don’t want to have to dig into my bag to grab my camera when I am on the go, so the SnapR gives me perfect accessibility.

The SnapR combines BlackRapid’s revolutionary sling strap concept with a durable, padded camera bag. Your camera rests upside down, attached to the strap, ready to slide into shooting position.
Grab, Glide, Click.
My Camera glides from bag to shooting position, I have no worries of dropping or forgetting it somewhere (this used to happen quite a lot). It’s basically a 3-in-1: BAG + SLING STRAP + HAND STRAP. I sometimes use all 3 together or independently. Another great feature of the SnapR are the pockets on each side for my iphone, wallet and passport etc.

Thanks Sivan Askayo for taking my picture (not a easy task!).
